This was a well written story that was able to hold your interest. You were out Fixed as to what you thought was coming to happen. I think it is well deserving of a five star 5
rating. I would recommend it any one who enjoys sitting down with a good book.
I like most of this author's books. This is a stand out selection, for me.
Blake's burden is ignominy. He can change that. But only by sacrificing others he greatly cares for. So he goes on, just letting his character argue for him that he is not what he is supposed to be.
Blake's Burden; a story about a young man soldier that had a mishap in India, he comes home to England a disgraced man. There is some controversy about wether Blake is really guilty or not. But Blake keeps quiet in order to keep his cousin Bertram in good grace with his father and family.
It's a good read, old fashioned maybe, a little clean romance. Would recommend
